This company was founded in 1992 and has since then made shock waves in the bedding and mattress industry. Specifically, the Tempur Pedic mattress, is said to help with an array of sleeping and health problems such as snoring, back pain, neck pain, headaches, and helps with the overall problem of not being able to sleep at night. The material or foam from the mattresses actually came from technology that was introduced to NASA and was used for astronauts that needed to push against G-forces whenever they went into space.

If you have ever seen one of these being advertised on the television, you know that while you lay on it, it conforms to your body.Once getting off the mattress it goes back to its original shape. When it comes time to choosing a mattress or a pillow, you should first consider the density and feel of the material.

This specific brand sells mattresses that have 5lbs or more of density. Next, you need to consider your type of body. Yes, this does have a lot to do with the mattress you choose. Oftentimes people will either need a lot of support in the upper areas of their body such as head, neck, and upper back. While others need more support in the lower regions of their bodies such as the lower back, hips and legs.

Choosing the mattress will either give you an advantage or disadvantage when it comes to the support it does (or does not) give you. When it comes to a mattress like this, it will take some time getting used to, especially if you have had spring loaded mattresses for most of your life. But, I can almost guarantee you that once you give yourself some time to get used to it, you will start reaping the benefits almost immediately. My biggest problem was my lower back. It was going out constantly when I had my other bed (spring loaded) simply because of the lack of support I was getting.

But, with the Tempur Pedic mattress every morning it felt like I was sleeping on air. Well, air with support! My legs, neck and back all seemed to be constantly supported as I laid down to sleep or as I sat down to read in my bed! Nowadays, my back hardly ever goes out of place and I can sleep as I am meant to - soundly!
